Another weekend, another trip. For this weekend adventure we decided to stay a little closer to home. Located in Woods Hole, MA, it is a quick drive to Nobska Light House. Built in 1876 it is now an automated light house and the old keepers house is now the Woods Hole Coast Guard Commander's quarters. Across the street from the light house is a small path that leads to beach. There are some great tide pools. The kiddies loved them and we spent more time there looking for crabs and fish than we did at the light house. P.S. Close to the Light House is a pretty tasty restaurant called Landfall. We got the lobster rolls, they were alright but the other food was delish. Our next stop was a pick your own farm. Berries were on our agenda! Sadly the berries were Winchester but we did have a good time touring the grounds and checking out all the items what would be ready to pick in the next few weeks. The flowers on their grounds were amazing, I took a ton of photos. After the farm we went in search of an Asian Market I had heard about, there isn't one in our town and I had to crowd source where to find one. I heard there are a number of markets in Boston, but I am morally opposed to going to Boston just to get tasty vittles. This one is close, but still not in RI, blah. BUT- I was able to pick up some good rice, fish cake (which I have been looking for FOREVER) and some glutinous rice flour. I was able to make the super tasty mochi below with the flour.
